Within these Pages

There is no right pace for this work.

You may move through these chapters over six weeks, or return to them slowly over many months. Some practices may stay with you for years before revealing something new.

Think of these chapters less as steps to complete and more as landscapes to revisit.

I. Arrival

Every journey begins by noticing where we already are.

Together we'll begin cultivating the simple practice of attention—slowing down enough to recognize the body as a place we can return to, again and again.

II. Sensation

The body is always speaking.

We'll become familiar with the language of sensation, learning to rest our attention in what is actually present rather than rushing toward explanation or certainty.

III. Support

Listening asks something of us.

In this chapter we'll explore what helps us feel held enough to remain present—through the body, the breath, the natural world, and the small rituals that create a sense of safety and belonging.

IV. Curiosity

Rather than asking, What does this mean? we begin with another question:

What happens if I stay a little longer?

Curiosity allows experience to unfold before we try to name it.

V. Imagination

As attention deepens, the inner life often begins to reveal itself.

Images, memories, symbols, emotions, dreams, and unexpected connections may emerge—not as problems to solve, but as companions in conversation.

Here we learn to welcome imagination as part of listening.

VI. Integration

Eventually the practice leaves the cushion, the journal, or the audio.

It begins to live in ordinary moments.

Making tea.

Walking beneath trees.

Preparing dinner.

Watching evening light drift across the room.

Listening to a friend.

Listening to yourself.

The practice becomes less something you remember to do...

and more a way of meeting your life.
